Best Time to Visit Xinjiang
Best May–Oct for the north (Kanas/Ili); April–Oct for the south (Kashgar/Pamirs). Winter Kanas (Dec–Feb) is a magical snow wonderland but roads need 4WD. Spring (Mar–Apr) brings apricot blossoms to the Ili valley.

- Weather: Desert nights and Pamir altitudes drop below 0°C even in summer — pack layers. UV is intense; carry sunscreen.
