About Dali

Nestled between Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake in northwest Yunnan, Dali is the cultural heart of the Bai people and one of China's most beloved travel destinations. The 120km Erhai Lake ring road is best explored by private car — stopping at ancient towns, fishing villages, and panoramic viewpoints along the way. Dali's laid-back atmosphere, Bai architecture, and stunning natural scenery make it a perfect 2-3 day stop on any Yunnan itinerary.
