How much is the Gulangyu + Tulou tour?

The full-day combined tour starts from $150 for a sedan (1-3), $190 for a Buick GL8 (4-6) and $270 for a Mercedes V-Class (7-8). Fuel and tolls on the long drive are included.

Yes — Tulou is roughly 2.5 hours from Xiamen. We recommend an early start. If you prefer, Tulou can be done as a separate day and Gulangyu as a half day.

Can you provide a guide for the Tulou?

We provide the car and driver. A local Hakka-speaking or English guide can be arranged at the Tulou site for an extra fee — just ask.

Is the road to the Tulou comfortable?

The route is paved and scenic. The last villages are reached by mountain roads; our drivers are experienced on these routes.
