How much does a private car in Zhangjiajie cost?
Private car with driver in Zhangjiajie starts from $80 for a half-day. Full-day tours to Tianmen Mountain start from $100, Wulingyuan from $120. Airport transfer from Hehua Airport (DYG) starts from $35.
What is the difference between Wulingyuan and Tianmen Mountain?
Wulingyuan (Avatar Mountains) is 30 min from the city, features 3,000+ sandstone pillars, requires 1-2 days. Tianmen Mountain is 15 min from the city, famous for its natural arch, glass walkways, and the world's longest cable car. Both are must-sees.
Is the Glass Bridge scary?
The Glass Bridge is 430m long, 6m wide, and 300m above the canyon. It is completely safe (designed for 800 people) but can be thrilling for those afraid of heights. Shoe covers are provided. If you prefer not to walk on glass, there are viewing platforms nearby.
How many days do I need in Zhangjiajie?
We recommend 3 days: Day 1 - Tianmen Mountain; Day 2 - Wulingyuan (Yuanjiajie/Avatar + Tianzi); Day 3 - Glass Bridge + Grand Canyon or Baofeng Lake. If you only have 2 days, combine Tianmen (half day) + Wulingyuan (full day) + Glass Bridge (half day).
Should I stay in the city or inside Wulingyuan?
Most visitors stay in Zhangjiajie city (Wulingyuan district) for better restaurants and amenities. The park entrance is 30 min from the city. Staying inside the park saves time but accommodation is basic. Our driver can take you in and out each day.
Can you help with cable car and elevator tickets?
Yes, our drivers can help purchase tickets. Key tickets: Wulingyuan entrance ¥225 (4-day pass), Bailong Elevator ¥72, Tianmen cable car ¥278 (includes entrance), Glass Bridge ¥138. We recommend booking Tianmen and Glass Bridge 1-2 days in advance.
